Experiencing Nature & An Architects Best At Bosjes Farm

Imagine a world where both nature and architecture came together uninterrupted - If it’s anything like this, it’s something worth experiencing.

There’s no doubt that humans have created some of the most incredible structures, and there’s no doubt that nature, uninterrupted, creates the most incredible structures too. But the possibility of them coming together perfectly that it almost makes perfect sense, is often times rare to come across. The entire time we stayed and explored Bosjes Farm, we were both in awe of nature and man’s work. The mountainous views went on and on and the hidden gems of Bosjes creations was just mind-blowing each time. We never really knew the farm had accommodation until we were looking for a place to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. And man are we glad we discovered it. The day started with a message that had us feeling absolutely relaxed, followed by a Rasul treatment. Honestly, up until this point we had no idea what it was and now we wonder how we lived without ever doing it. For most of the day we hopped between exploring the farm and chilling next to the pool. There are only 5 rooms so everything felt intimate and quiet. When we realised that dinner was included in the stay we expected something simple, but the private chef cooking for the 5 guests was anything but simple. They even included some special anniversary treats which we enjoy in our cosy room.

We greeted our final morning with a sunrise hike in an attempt to spot giraffes and other wildlife. The morning was quiet and the mountains were all lit up as we watched animals run by. Totally made the early rise worth it. Often times while we’re away we love to find a highlight of the stay and with this one, every activity, planned and unplanned, complimented each other so well that it felt like one seamless flow of a memorable getaway. As if each part was intentionally put together from beginning to end.

What We Loved:

  • The architecture is just world-class. Literally award-winning.

  • There is so much to do and see. Roaming around unravels new gems all the time.

  • The rooms are beautiful and cosy with a luxurious feel to the farm-style that it still holds.

  • The staff go above and beyond at all times. They are so friendly too.

  • The dinner that was included was such a special touch.

  • The breakfast is really good too.

  • It just feels like there’s so much day here. Everything is so peaceful and it’s not overcrowded or never feels busy.

  • It’s so great for both families and couples. They have a ton of play areas and activities for kids.

Tips / Recommendations:

  • Try and do the hike in the morning. Besides it getting quite hot most of the animals are out then. It is a pretty simple walk too.

  • If you have a mountain bike bring it along. We didn’t bring ours, but it would’ve been really fun.

  • Try and book a spa treatment. If you can’t, the sauna is open to guests staying over.

  • Walk around. Although it sounds obvious there is so much to discover.

  • If you have any dietary requirements, let them know. They are super accommodating and the substitutes are specially made so it doesn’t feel like you’re getting second best.
